Arizona State Archives Move Forward

According to KPHO, plans for Arizona’s official state archives have moved forward: PHOENIX Legislators moved forward today on a project to build a new home for the state’s archives. As endorsed by a legislative oversight committee, the new archives building would be constructed approximately two blocks west of the Capitol.

Among the goals – climate-control for the storage areas, something that is of great concern to genealogists in the state, because apparently the current facilities are not that good for long-term storage.
