Friends Reunited did in fact buy the National Archives (UK) online 1901 census

If you are of Creole descent, you may want to check out LA CREOLE (Louisiana Creole Research Association), a group dedicated to genealogy research for Creole descendants. The Louisiana Weekly has an article about the group.

There is an interesting article at Leeds Today by Chris Murphy, about 160 year old+ court records helping a family better understand their ancestory (and how they came to be in Australia).
